Formal Consultation - Whelk Fishery Flexible Permit Byelaw 2020

On 30 November 2020 Kent & Essex IFCA agreed to make a Whelk Fishery Flexible Permit Byelaw 2020. Kent & Essex IFCA is now undertaking a formal consultation for the Whelk Fishery Flexible Permit Byelaw 2020. This byelaw intends to provide protection against over exploitation of whelk stocks within the Authority's district.
This byelaw will replace the Whelk Permit Byelaw made on 18 January 2013 and the Whelk Minimum Size Emergency Byelaw 2020 made on 1 February 2020.

The deadline for responses is 12pm on 21 January 2021.
