KEIFCA response to MCZ consultation

In December 2012 Defra announced a consultation on proposals for the designation of a first tranche of MCZ's. Thirty sites have been announced in English and Welsh waters with six of these sites, the greatest of any IFCA, being within the KEIFCA district boundary. These sites are: Stour and Orwell; Blackwater, Crouch, Roach and Colne; Medway; Thanet; Hythe Bay; Folkestone Pomerania.
